Additional Services of Metro Trains have been scheduled for Care Expo Melbourne. We are very thankful to Public Transport Victoria and Metro Trains for providing these additional services for Care Expo Melbourne visitors.
Care Expo patrons can then choose to board the FREE shuttle bus (with wheelchair access) from Melbourne Showgrounds station for the short journey to 01 Exhibition Pavilion, as well as for the return journey to the station. This courtesy service is provided by our friends from Exceptional Care For You.

FRIDAY 30 AUGUST 2024
- Special trains for Showgrounds will depart from Flinders Street Station (Platform 8 / 9), between 08 52am and 3:18pm inclusive, stopping only at Southern Cross (Platform 14), North Melbourne (Platform 6), en route to the Showgrounds (Platform 1) every 30 – 35 minutes.
- Trains returning to Flinders Street from Showgrounds between 09 27 and 16 00, will stop only at North Melbourne (Platform 5), and Southern Cross (Platform 13) en route to Flinders Street (Platform 8 / 9).
- Last train to depart Showgrounds Station is at 4pm.
SATURDAY 31 AUGUST 2024
- Special trains for Showgrounds will depart from Southern Cross Station (Platform 8), between 8:48am and 3:48pm inclusive, stopping only at North Melbourne (Platform 2), en route to Showgrounds (Platform 1) every 30-35 minutes.
- Trains returning to Southern Cross from Showgrounds between 9:11am and 4:05pm, will stop at North Melbourne (Platform 1), en route to Southern Cross (Platform 8) every 35 minutes.
- Last train to depart Showgrounds Station is 4:05pm.
SERVICE DISRUPTIONS
There are occupations occurring on the network which coincide with your event dates that will impact patrons travelling on the Craigieburn, Seymour and Shepparton lines. Bus replacements will be operating for sections.
Note, due to the planned works trains will operate on Friday 30 August from Flinders St Station and on Saturday 31 August from Southern Cross Station.
