The Melbourne Care Expo team and Victoria Transport have combined forces to ensure improved transport options for this year’s Care Expo Melbourne.
The train station within the Melbourne Showgrounds will be specifically opened across the two days to provide a closer stop to Melbourne Care Expo at the 01 Exhibition Pavilion and Trams will operate on Route 57.
Care Expo Melbourne is being held at the Melbourne Showgrounds, 01 Exhibition Pavilion, Ascot Vale (Melbourne) Victoria 3032.
Located just 7km from Melbourne CBD and 15 minutes from Melbourne Airport, Melbourne Showgrounds is easily accessible by public transport or car.

The train station within the Melbourne Showgrounds will be specifically opened across the two days to provide a closer stop for visitors to the Expo.
On Friday 15/08/2025 – Trains will depart Flinders Street Station from 8.50am every 40 minutes.
On Friday 15/08/2025 – Trains will depart from Melbourne Showgrounds Station every 40 minutes until 3.49pm
On Saturday 16/08/2025 – Trains will depart Flinders Street Station from 8.40am every 40 minutes.
On Saturday 16/08/2025 – Trains will depart from Melbourne Showgrounds Station every 40 minutes until 4.10pm
On Friday 15/08/25 and Saturday 16/08/2025 – Passengers can catch a Route 57 Tram, alighting at Stop 32 Sandown Road/Epsom Road. (via Flemington Road).
Return passengers on Friday 15/08/25 and Saturday 16/08/2025 – Passengers can catch a Route 57 Tram, alighting at Stop 1 Flinders Street Railway Station/Elizabeth Street. Services from Sandown Rd/Epsom Rd Stop 32 depart via Flemington Road.
Please Note: Route 57 Teams are high-floor trams with steps. Public Transport Victoria states that they are unsuitable for some mobility aids, including wheelchairs, scooters and motorised vehicles.

There are no additional bus services in operation form Public Transport Victoria. All bus services will run to a normal weekend timetable.
The following bus route travels close to the Melbourne Showgrounds:
On Friday 11/08/23 and Saturday 12/08/2023 – Passengers can catch a Route 404 Bus (Footscray – Moonee Ponds via Newmarket) alighting at Ascot St/Ascot Vale Rd in Ascot Vale. Services from Moonee Ponds depart every 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday during peak times and every 40 minutes in off peak times.
On Friday 11/08/23 and Saturday 12/08/2023 – Passengers can catch a Route 404 Bus (Footscray – Moonee Ponds via Newmarket) alighting at Ascot St/Ascot Vale Rd in Ascot Vale. Services from Foorscray Station / Irving Street depart every 20 minutes on Friday and Saturday during peak times and every 40 minutes in off peak times.
Car parking options will again be available within the Melbourne Showgrounds. Please follow staff directions on site.
• Melbourne Showgrounds provides limited onsite parking for events.
Entry and Exit via Langs Road, through gate 4.
• Parking fees apply – for cars ($25) and buses ($30) payable to the Melbourne Showgrounds.

The Travellers Aid lounges at Flinders Street and Southern Cross stations in Melbourne are places for travellers to take a seat, rest and wait for the next leg of their journey.
