About Grace:
Grace Brown is the CEO, Co-Founder, and Engineer at Andromeda Robotics. A Mechatronics Engineering graduate from the University of Melbourne, Grace is driven by a deep passion for robotics and STEM. During her university years, she conceptualized Abi—a humanoid robot inspired by the creativity and magic of Disney & Pixar characters.
In response to the isolation challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Grace founded Andromeda Robotics with a mission to bring Abi’s companionship into homes worldwide. Her innovative approach combines technology with empathy, aiming to alleviate loneliness and provide warmth to those in need.
About Jacinta:
Jacinta Jarutis leads Medical & Aged Care Group’s Wellbeing & Community teams and Programs. Jacinta is committed to exploring and partnering with innovative technologies and projects which increase people’s opportunities to connect with others, engage with their communities and enhance their overall well-being.
Throughout her International Airline career, Jacinta was committed to excellence in customer wellbeing, safety and service. A career transition to the aged care sector was an opportunity to bring her experience to the growing focus on people’s well-being within the sector.
Since 2017, Jacinta has coached well-being teams to deliver inclusive and innovative programs at MACG. The programs build and foster connections, promote a sense of community and offer each person the chance to explore new experiences. On first meeting Abi, Jacinta immediately saw her potential to bring joy and companionship to people. That potential has already been realized through countless meaningful moments.
